Pasco named one of Washington's "Cities on the Rise"
CITY OF PASCO NEWS RELEASE -- Estately, a national real estate search site, recently rated the state's most populated cities for those "on the rise", and Pasco was named #2 in the state. Pasco was the only city in Eastern Washington in the top ten. Estately ranked every Washington state city with a population over 30,000 on an average of six criteria:
Increase in population (U.S. Census)
Increase in home values (U.S. Census)
Reduction in poverty levels (U.S. Census)
Decrease in crime rate (FBI Uniform Crime Report)
Increase in income (U.S. Census)
Increase in residents with bachelor degrees (U.S. Census)
Estately identified the City's obvious increase in population, but also particularly noted the community's sharp reduction in crime and poverty, and the substantial increase in average income. The rankings can be viewed at: blog.estately.com/2014/04/10-washington-state-cities-on-the-rise-in-2014/
The City of Pasco strives to continue improving the quality of community life in Pasco.
