Pasco slowing down drivers

PASCO, Wash. - Pasco has been receiving multiple complaints for speeders on Road 44, now the city has a plan to slow down those drivers.

The speed limit on Road 44 between Argent and Burden is 25 miles per hour, staff says drivers are consistently going ten over. Pasco thinks re-striping will help, they say narrow roads usually cause drivers to slow down. Residents say they are open to anything that will make their neighborhood safer.

"Because my grandson is with us part of the day at home and that poses a danger, people racing and trying to pass and do crazy things, it's just not safe," said Ruth Ferguson.

It's also possible parking will be banned on the east side of Road 44, there is no timetable yet for re-striping to begin.
