Paws-abilities Place Dog Park celebrates grand re-opening
RICHLAND, Wash. -- Our four legged friends barked for joy at Badger Mountain Community Park this morning.
Today's ribbon cutting and grand re-opening of the Paws-abilities Place Dog Park in Richland celebrates a long-awaited remodel of the play area after it closed for re-sodding last September.
Phase two of the park unleashed a new section today for dogs to test out. It's part of the 1.5 acres for large dogs to socialize, located next to the smaller dog area.
"It got a lot of hard use being the only dog park in all of Tri-Cities," said Richland City Council's Dori Luzzo Gilmour. "We have people traveling from all over to come here. It's one of the 58 parks we have in Richland, we have to have things for different people - different, furry people! "
The Paws-abilities Place Dog Park is the only place you're allowed to have your dog off leash in the Tri-Cities.
