Person steals elderly woman's purse, uses her credit card
RICHLAND, Wash. - Richland police are trying to identify a person who was seen stealing a 96-year-old woman's purse and later using her credit card.
Richland Police Department (RPD) reports said someone stole the purse August 18 while the 96-year-old was sitting at the Richland Fred Meyer waiting for a ride.
The thief reportedly went to Walmart, where an accomplice used one of the victim's credit cards to buy multiple gift cards and a case of Marlboros.
The two then purchased a Play Station console at a Gamestop. Reports said they used the stolen credit card towards over $740 of merchandise.
Anyone with information on who is allegedly using the card is asked to contact Richland Officer Petersen at 509-628-0333 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
