Warrior Sisterhood, a volunteer-led program offered through the Tri-Cities Cancer Center, is hosting the 5th annual Pink the Parkway.

Several businesses are taking part and offering deals for visitors who buy tickets.

There will also be a cancer survivors fashion show, a kids place and live music.

Officials say they hope to raise up to $10,000.

Membership chair Misty Ovens says, "It's just great seeing the community come out to support local women fighting cancer and to know that money stays local. So this money isn't going to some big national corporation for overhead. For any CEO with a big salary. We're all 100% volunteer-led and we're all staying here local."

"These are life-changing diagnoses and to be able to be part of something that can ease that pain or the stress is wonderful,” adds fundraising chair Jennerifer Ollero.

The event runs from 11 A.M to 4 P.M.

Tickets can be purchased at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center or at the event, $25 for adults and $10 for kids.
