Police investigating reported armed robbery in Kennewick

      KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A 25-year-old Pasco man says another man attacked him with a knife and stole his cellphone in Kennewick early Wednesday morning.

      Domminick Pruitt says the robbery happened before 5 a.m. as he was walking back to Pasco near the intersection of North Gum Street and East Columbia Drive.

      Pruitt told police a man got out of a vehicle and demanded his cellphone. When he refused to give up the phone, he says the man lunged at him with a knife, cutting his hand, then took the phone and fled.

      Pruitt described his attacker as a 5-foot-10-inch Hispanic or Asian man. He was not able to describe the vehicle.

      Police are still investigating the incident.
