Police investigating two recent armed robberies at Kennewick gas station
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Kennewick Conoco.
Action News learned someone robbed the Jet Mart Conoco, located at 1001 N Volland Street around 9 p.m., Thursday. No one was injured in this incident.
Police reports said this is the second robbery that has happened at this location in the span of four days.
Witnesses said a man was carrying a knife and demanded money in both incidents. The store clerk complied and the man ran away, heading south toward the Kamiakin Apartments in the 4700 block of Metaline Ave. with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police went out to the scene with a K9 unit but were unable to find the robber.
The Kennewick Police Department (KPD) is investigating to determine if the two robberies are related.
The robber in both occurrences are similar in a physical description. Investigators said the man appears to be white, standing at 5'7 to 5'8 with a heavy build.
He was covering his face and wore a blue sweatshirt and jeans.
