Melody Mickel disappeared from the Hermiston Rite Aid, where she worked as an assistant manager. Surveillance video shows her leaving in the middle of her shift and getting in the car with her ex-boyfriend, Alberto Martinez.
Action News confirmed on Monday that a temporary arrest warrant has now been issued for Martinez.
Starr Nice, Melody's mother says it just isn't like her daughter to go without contacting her for so long.
In their investigation, authorities ended up at Martinez's home. Police tell Action News, the two had just recently broken up.
"Upon arriving at that residence, suspicious circumstances were observed, at which point, we contacted the Umatilla County Sheriff's Office to ask for assistance.
Investigators tell Action News there were signs of a struggle inside Martinez's home in Hermiston. They are also increasingly concerned, based on his past criminal record, which includes convictions for kidnapping, rape, sodomy, and assault.
