Police: Woman drowns in friend's pool
PROSSER, Wash. -- Police are investigating a drowning after they say a 63 year-old woman was found floating in a pool in Prosser on Tuesday afternoon.
Prosser police officers told Action News that Debra Harris was visiting a home on the 100 block of West State Route 22 when she fell into the pool.
Police say her body was discovered by a friend after approximately 30 minutes.
Efforts to revive Harris were not successful.
The identity of the victim was released June 29, Thursday after officials notified her family.
The Benton County Coroners Office will perform an autopsy Friday morning.
At this time the drowning is being investigated as an accident.
