Power outages planned for northern Franklin County
FRANKLIN PUD NEWS RELEASE -- Franklin PUD customers in the Connell area will be experiencing a planned power outage on Sunday March 23, from 2:00 a.m. until 4:00 a.m., and again on Sunday March 30th from 2:00 a.m. until 4:00 a.m. Kahlotus and Windust areas will also have a planned power outage the same dates, but the approximate time will be from 2:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. The purpose of the outage is to allow Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) to perform maintenance on their transmission line and Franklin PUD to replace a power pole. In order to safely perform the maintenance operations, all power to these areas must be disabled.
Franklin PUD is coordinating with businesses and residents to minimize impacts to customers during this time. As a reminder, customers are responsible to use surge protectors in your home to protect your electronics and small appliances from power surges.
