KENNEWICK, Wash. — The owner of a familiar restaurant is opening something new on Columbia Center Boulevard.

Michael Miller started Stick+Stone, a Richland restaurant known for its wood-fired pizza, in 2013.

His latest venture is going in on the third and fourth floors above Massage Envy on Columbia Center Boulevard, and this time, he said he's taking on burgers and steaks with a local twist.

He said the Tri-Cities is great about supporting its local restaurants, but they're too few and far-between,

"We're chain dominated, everything in Tri-Cities is a chain. So I wanted to bring something fresh, something that's different that you might see in the big city like Seattle or Spokane."

Miller said he thinks folks will come for the high-end gastropub food, but stay for the amazing view of the Tri-Cities from the balcony and fourth floor.

He said the doors will open sometime in December.
