Prosecuting Attorney Andy Miller gets "goated" by Interim Sheriff Jerry Hatcher

BENTON COUNTY, Wash. – Today, Interim Sheriff Jerry Hatcher wanted to "kid" around with Prosecuting Attorney Andy Miller by sending him a baby goat named Schmidt.

The Wishing Star Foundation helps grant the wishes of terminally-ill children by "goating" people. The Send a Friend a Goat program delivers the goat to an unsuspecting friend who must make a donation to the cause and pay for the removal of the goat. Then they can send it to a new person of their choice.

“Both Jerry and I have very stressful jobs and we sadly see the bad side of people sometimes,” Miller explained. “So it's nice for us to be involved."

Right now, Tri-Cities donations will help a young girl with bone cancer go to Disney World.

"No child should ever have to go through this type of stuff,” Hatcher said. “This is just such a great cause for the community to get behind.”
