Repairman informs those with front-loading washing machine on how to avoid mold
TRI-CITIES, Wash. - Over six-million owners of a front-loading washing machine have sued due to mold and mildew.
Manufacturers are trying to amend the issue found in the clothes-washing appliance, but the issue is not fully resolved.
Certified repairman, Mickey Resendez said the venting in these machines is not always enough to alleviate water from inside the machine when not in use.
Resendez recommends putting bleach directly in the tub about once every three to six months- the cheapest and most effective solution.
Another helpful tip from Resendez is to leave the washer door open a crack when not in use.
Keeping a clean washing machine is key for avoiding mold forming in your appliance.
