Reports: Hermiston man arrested after trying to run people over with his car
HERMISTON, Ore. - A man is arrested after he reportedly tried to run two men over with his car.
Umatilla County deputies said they found 57-year-old Michael Alan Parker, of Hermiston at a marijuana growing operation on N Hwy 395.
Reports said Parker assaulted the two men and tried run them over with his car at this location, Sept. 20.
The property owner said Parker was not welcome on the property and was asked to leave several times.
Parker would not leave and began fighting with the two. He told the victims they would need guns to keep him away, UCSO reports said.
Parker then got in his car and tried to run the two men over, but instead hit a fence and got his car stuck, according to deputies.
The victims said Parker ran away and they left the property to call police.
When they returned they found several windows broken out of their motor homes and several marijuana plants damaged.
Police escorted Parker from a retail marijuana store in Pendleton after causing a disturbance.
He is in the Umatilla County Jail for multiple charges.
