Richland cheerleader to perform at London New Year's Day parade
RICHLAND, Wash. - A local cheerleader is one of the few chosen to participate in the world-famous London New Year's Day parade.
Becca Binns, a cheerleader from Richland High School, was invited to perform in this special event after being selected as an All-American at a summer camp at Washington State University hosted by Varsity Spirit.
Binns is one of 10,000 performers in this year's event, seen by almost 300 million people around the world.
This is her first ever trip to London and she says she will remember this experience for the rest of her life.
"A lot of people don't get the chance to be an All-American and I'm super proud I get to represent All-American for Richland High School and I think that's really something to be proud of and I'm super excited I get the chance to be able to do this and be in the parade. "
Becca tells Action News another RHS cheerleader made All-American and chose to go to Disneyworld to perform.
