RICHLAND, Wash. -- The financial website NerdWallet has named Richland one of America's "Best Small Cities to Live In."
Richland was number seven on the list. It was recognized for its relatively affordable housing and for its growing population and average income.
NerdWallet ranked more than 900 cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000. Their scores were based on several factors, including growth, change in poverty rate, cost of living and percentage of residents without health insurance.
The site listed Carmel, Indiana, as its top small city.
Richland wasn't the only Washington city to make the top ten. Sammanish was fourth on the list.
