Richland police: Man arrested after stabbing brother in the face
RICHLAND, Wash. - Richland police are responding to what they say is a stabbing incident.
Police responded to a report when a family member was in need of medical assistance around 7:27 a.m., Friday at 1319 Delaware.
Officials said 32-year-old Derrick Brown was having a panic attack and the situation escalated to a physical altercation.
The fight carried over to a neighboring apartment, at 1327 Delaware, where Richland police found Brown's brother, 27-year-old Devin with multiple stab wounds to the head and face, and rushed him Kadlec hospital.
Their mother, who was in the same room during the fight, was also taken to Kadlec. Medics treated them and responding officers said those involved are in stable condition.
Police arrested Derrick, who is a suspect in the stabbing of his brother with a knife. The suspect is in custody and was also sent to the hospital to be evaluated.
Police said they applying for a search warrant.
