Richland police looking for suspects in Jack in the Box robbery

RICHLAND, Wash. -- The Richland Police Department is looking for two men it says robbed a Jack in the Box on Tapteal Drive Wednesday night.

Officers say the two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the restaurant around 11:30 p.m. and demanded money. When an employee opened the till and handed over an undisclosed amount of money, the suspects fled on foot.

The gun was not fired, and no employees were hurt.

One of the suspects is described as a 5-foot-11 man between 175 and 185 pounds wearing a gray hoodie, dark pants, white shoes and white gloves, while the other is described as a 5-foot-9 man between 160 and 170 pounds wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, gray shoes and black and white batting-style gloves.

Police originally released an image taken from surveillance video of a vehicle of interest, but officers found it later on Thursday and said it was not connected with the robbery.

Anyone with any information on the robbery is asked to contact Detective Athena Clark at (509) 942-7354 or RPD's non-emergency dispatch number at (509) 628-0333.
