Two hundred players were invited to the VIP event on Tuesday, January 14. VIPs, chosen based on their level of play, received a ticket upon arrival at the event to enter into the evening's drawings. Two of the twelve footballs for attendees to choose included the Super Bowl Power Prizes. Each Super Bowl package includes airfare to New York, tickets between the goal and 20-yard line at the lower level, accommodations for 4 nights at the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan, pregame hospitality experience and other VIP access perks.
Helen Brown of Richland visits the casino regularly to play her favorite slots, Triple Dragon and Wolf Run. She's won approximately $800 on Triple Dragon at one time in the past, but the Super Bowl Prize Package is her biggest win now. "I jumped and screamed. My husband said I shouted like I was in church when I won," commented Helen, "This is a lifetime thrill. Everyone knows me at the casino, so it was great to be surround by and congratulated from friends after the win!" Helen will send her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Barry Talmore, to the game in her stead.
Jeanna Hernandez of Wapato was the last name drawn and received the last football on the prize board. Jeanna is a professed fan of the slot game Nephertiti, but Zeus has become her new favorite over the last year because she's not only won two jackpots on Zeus, one for over $1,000 and the other for over $2,000 but it helped her get invited to the VIP event as well.
Jeanna could not choose whom to take with her between her two sons, Mark and Matthew. "I asked the casino if I could let my sons go instead because I just couldn't choose," according to Jeanna, "When they called back to tell me it had been approved to send my sons, it was like winning all over again!" Mark, 31, is a diehard Seahawks fan who lives in Glendale, Arizona, and Matthew, 29, is a passionate Philadelphia Eagles fan who lives in Wapato. Jeanna said, "Our whole family loves football, and I'm really rooting for the Seahawks now!"
