Take a look at what's known as the "Cadillac" of robots. Its job is to take officers out of situations that otherwise would be too dangerous. The $57,000 cost was donated by HAPO and Windermere Tri-Cities. The robot can speak, climb stairs, and pick up items. Police say it's all about safety.
"If we can put it inside instead of the operator or the team inside to accomplish the mission then it just goes to making sure non of us will get hurt or the people inside," said robot operator Officer Jeremy Taylor.
The robot is ready for action but it still needs a name.
