Safe Kids Saturday is bringing a fun and safe event to Richland
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Safe Kids is hosting their 24th Annual event with over 30 community agencies for parents to learn different ways they can keep children safe.
Seattle Children’s Hospital will give free bike helmets, for the first 500 guests.
The event will have hands-on activities, where children will have the chance to learn how to escape their house safely, in the event of a fire.
There will also be a children’s bike rodeo, bike helmet fittings as well as car seat safety checks.
Coordinator for Safe Kids, Kathleen Clary-Cooke said, “We will have a car seat clinic as part of Safe Kids Saturday, we have certified safety technicians and we want to just make sure kids are riding in the right car seat, that its installed properly and harness in properly.”
The event is this Saturday, May 12, at the Kadlec Healthplex, 1268 Lee. Blvd. Richland from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
