Scheduling change means increased Police presence in Pasco

PASCO, Wash. -- A scheduling change could have Pasco Police watching over your streets more often.

To keep more officers on patrol, police training is now limited to one day a month.

In the past, training would take officers out of duty for two weeks at a time.

The change means there is now a greater police presence in areas that need extra patrols.

Training lasts for eleven hours on a single day.

The change means no more than two officers are out of duty at any given time.
