School District and Deputies investigate school threat
DAYTON, Wash. -- The Columbia County Sheriff's office and Dayton School District leaders are investigating an alleged threat against students and others at the High School on Tuesday.
District educators say they are taking the situation seriously and immediately notified the Sheriff's Department.
At the time of this publication, the Sheriff's Department has taken the student into custody.
District leaders are asking parents, students and community members are encouraged to contact the district if they believe they might havee information regarding the safety of children and school employees.
District leaders say they will continue with class on Wednesday.
