Seahawks lift local Pasco student

PASCO, Wash. - The Seattle Seahawks are lifting up locals in the Tri-Cities and not just because they're in the Super Bowl. An eighth grader in Pasco who has trouble walking, has been given the gift of motivation.

Jose Ortiz was diagnosed with cancer when he was seven, but now he is cancer-free at 14. His legs are still not strong and Jose was struggling to stay motivated. Some teachers emailed the Seahawks Jose's story and in doing so, received an autographed picture from Russell Wilson. Jose says this gives him the strength to keep working.

"'What went through your head?' That I need to start working harder, because it is motivation," said Jose Ortiz.

Jose takes it with him to school everyday and says it is his most prized possession.
