Sharehouse opens in Richland

RICHLAND - Some good news for you...a new coffee-house opens in Richland -- all with a big plan to donate all profits. Sharehouse Coffee hosted its grand opening Friday.

Managers tell KEPR 250 people had lined up before 1pm. Money made will go to a different non-profit every month.

Bethel Church sponsored the establishment. The coffee house will stay open until midnight on the weekends as an alternative choice to other nightlife.

"We want to be a safe place. We stay open so late because we want people to be able to come in. It's an alternative to the bars - if people don't want to be in a place where there's lots of drinking going on, they can just come in for some light music, coffee," said Sharehouse Manager Evan Burt.

Grand opening specials lasted until midnight (Friday the 25th).
