Slow down! Troopers handing out more tickets on state roads.

TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- If you drive with a lead foot, you'll want to watch your speed.

KEPR learned state troopers are busting thousands of more drivers for speeding on Tri-Cities roads.

Last year, troopers stopped nearly 5,000 more drivers than the year before.

In total, 25,000 people were pulled over on state roads in our area.

Troopers say most tickets are handed out on I-182, but can pinpoint any specific area.

They hope to clamp down on reckless driving in our area next.
