Softball tournament expected to pump $1M into economy
"We are proud to partner with the National Softball Association to bring this high-quality, city-wide tournament to the Tri-Cities for the 7th consecutive year," said Kris Watkins, President and CEO of the Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau. "In the month of June, the Tri-Cities has hosted 12 different sporting events including swim meets; softball and baseball tournaments; and a bass fishing tournament totaling 13,287 athletes, fans and family members at an estimated $3,765,960 in visitor spending in our community. Clearly, the investment our community has made in building the facilities to host these events is paying dividends."For a complete schedule of all the games taking place this weekend, visit the NSA website at www.nsawa.com.
