Starving horses get care

PASCO - KEPR is continuing to cover the rescue of eight starving horses who were brought to a farm in Pasco. The horses were very skinny.

Spot-O-Faith found homes for two of them. One is in foster care, and a second was adopted.

After KEPR aired the story, the rescue got more than $1,000 in donations. People also offered bales of hay to feed the animals.

'We've had an overwhelming response. And it is so exciting to see the community come together - stepping up and helping support these horses that were dropped off at our door," said Spot-O-Faith Director Linda Christiano.

The horse rescue is looking for youth volunteers and a flat-bed trailer to haul hay for the horses.
