State looks to keep Ronald Love behind bars

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. -- The trial for a Pasco sex offender begins Tuesday. The state is fighting to keep Ronald Love behind bars indefinitely.

Love served 13 years on the West Side for attempted rape of another man in Pasco. He finished his sentence, but the state says he is still a danger to society.

According to the Tri-City Herald, Love has three sexually violent convictions since the 70s.

A jury was picked Friday, and motions in the case were argued before a judge Monday. Opening statements will begin Tuesday.
