Student electricians presented a $5,000 check to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center.

Every year, students raise money to support a charity, however this year they decided to donate to a cause one classmate is very familiar with.

Dustin Baker said, "Within one year of my sister finding out she was cancer free my mom found out that she had it, so I spent a lot of time here which I didn’t really like but I figured it’s one of my ways to give back and with the help of all the guys in my class we were able to get it done."

Leaders at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center said the money is going to help provide many resources for patients as well as promote community awareness, in order to help people detect cancer early and save lives.
