The $30,000 artwork Kennewick says is a money-saver

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The city of Kennewick is unveiling a new roundabout they believe will save taxpayer money.

Instead of landscaping, sculptures were added at Clearwater Avenue and Leslie Road.

Costing about $30,000, they will be cheaper in the long run rather than maintaining grass or shrubs.

Joseph Rastovich, the sculptor, says, "We wanted to pay tribute to the area of our landscape so it symbolizes the bunch grass.

The City of Kennewick expects to add three *more sculptures in Southridge later this Summer.
