Tri-Cities housing market grows with the state's

TRI-CITIES, WA. - Tri-Cities has always been known to go against the grain when it comes to the housing market. But a new study shows that not only is our market growing, but the state's as well.

The housing price index in our areas has grown 1.8% since last year. The country has seen home prices improve to their best rates since 2006. Local realtors tell KEPR that any increase in the market is a good thing, but even better for us.

"It shows the resiliency of this market and it's been a great housing market, it's been good and with the rest of the nation stabilizing I would expect to see the Tri-Cities take off again, probably catapult us to the next level," said local broker Travis Davis.

New construction is not selling as well as people opt for already built homes.
