Tri-Cities Pride Festival kicks off
RICHLAND, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Pride Festival is kicking off this weekend with events going on tonight and tomorrow.
The second annual Tri-Cities Pride Festival is celebrating the LGBT community with a march tomorrow starting at John Dam Plaza in Richland at 1:30 pm, followed by Pride Festival from 2 pm to 6 pm.
"This is a way for families to be supportive, friends, you know, the any-day ally that's ready to be there for the community," said Colby Coburn, Tri-Cities Pride communications director.
The march will loop around the plaza and the festival is free and family-friendly. Coburn says there will be live entertainment, vendors, and activities for kids like bouncy houses and face painting.
