Troopers find missing Gold Bar boy after brief Amber Alert

SEATTLE -- A brief Friday night Amber Alert was called off when Washington State Patrol troopers found the missing child in Chelan County.

Five-year-old Riley Dakota Cleveland was reported missing from his Gold Bar home at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, and an Amber Alert was officially issued just after 10 p.m.

Police believed Riley had been abducted by his mother, 34-year-old Noranda Youra Chenier. Chenier does not have legal custody of Riley, and police feared she might harm the boy.

Just after 11 p.m., troopers spotted a car in Chelan County that matched the description of the one Chenier was thought to be driving.

With help from the Chelan County sheriff's office, troopers stopped the car on Highway 2 just east of Leavenworth.

Inside the car they found both Riley and Chenier. Troopers say Riley was unharmed. Chenier was taken into custody.
