Two Grandview adults shot, juvenile family member in custody
GRANDVIEW, Wash. - A man and woman are recovering from gunshot wounds after police said a juvenile shot at them.
Officers with the Grandview Police Department (GPD) found the two wounded at the 100 block of Wilson Highway, August 2 at 9 p.m.
Reports said a man in his mid 50s was struck in the arm and a mid 40s woman was hit in the chest by a single gunshot.
GPD officers determined the shot came from a family member in the house and detained one minor and one juvenile.
Police said a fight between the four family members reportedly led to the juvenile suspect firing a shot with a handgun.
Officers took the young suspect to Yakima County Juvenile Detention Center on three requested charges of assault.
Medics transported the woman to Kadlec Medical Center and later Harborview. She was reportedly in stable condition as of 9 a.m., August 3.
Reports said the man was taken to Prosser Memorial Hospital and later to Sacred Heart Medical Center.
GPD officials continue to investigate this case and information will be updated as available.
