Wash. Lottery: 5,000 Mega Millions tickets sold per minute
WASHINGTON STATE -- Despite the long odds, lottery players are buying several tickets to improve their chances.
The lottery commission says a million tickets were sold Wednesday in the state. Three million sold Thursday.
Friday morning machines were spitting out five thousand tickets per minute.
One player shared his unusual plan to celebrate if he wins it all.
"No matter whatever ticket number it is, I'll get it tattooed on my forearm just to have it and let everyone know I won the lottery," said Alex Runnels, lottery player.
The results will be announced at 8:00 p.m. Friday.
