West Richland parade honors veterans

WEST RICHLAND, Wash. -- Honoring the men and women who served our country.

That was the goal of the West Richland Veterans Parade this morning. Hundreds lined the streets to watch the parade.

The whole thing last more than an hour and included 100 entries.
Police, the Sheriff's Department and several school bands marched down Van Giesen -- all to honor veterans service to our country.

"Actually, my husband is a veteran. He served on submarines for 22 years, so we very much love the fact West Richland honors our veterans, and we would never miss this," said WEst Richland Resident Julie Haris.

More local diners are honoring veterans this weekend. If you've served our country, you can get a free meal at Texas Roadhouse tomorrow and Monday.

In addition, Bush Car Wash and Autobahn will wash your car at no charge tomorrow. To take part, all you need to do is show your military ID.
