West Richland police uncover stolen mini storage items, arrest suspects
RICHLAND, Wash. - Police have booked two suspects for stealing property from storage units at Van Giesen Mini Storage.
West Richland Police Department (WRPD) reported the burglary occurred around 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the mini storage located at the corner of Van Giesen Street and Grosscup Boulevard.
Police arrived to find a mini van with a woman and man driving away from the storage area.
WRPD stopped the van and discovered the man had several warrants for his arrest and the woman was allegedly driving under the influence of narcotics.
The couple had broken into multiple storage units and took items according to investigators.
Officials towed the van for evidence and one of the victims identified her property inside the van.
Police said the suspects were booked into Benton County Jail on charges of burglary, DUI, and possession of narcotics, stolen property and drug paraphernalia.
