Woman arrested for suspicion of murder
BENTON COUNTY, Wash. -- Deputies say they arrested a 36-year-old Prosser woman for suspicion of shooting, and killing, another woman early Saturday morning.
Deputies responded to the area of 140000 North River Road in Prosser after a call came in about shots being fired.
When authorities from Benton County Sheriff's office, and Prosser Police, arrived, they say they found Amy Brown holding Amanda Hill, 35, of Buckley.
Officials say Hill was bleeding, but had no pulse and was not breathing.
The deputy and Prosser officer tried to use CPR, but Hill died.
Officials say they determined she had been shot with a handgun during a fight between the two women.
Authorities took Brown to the sheriff's office and arrested her for 2nd degree Murder and 1st degree Manslaughter.
An autopsy is planned later this week.
Officials say the homicide is still under investigation.
