AC companies working into the night

TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- The key to keep your AC humming along during the summer is proper maintenance.

Campbell and Company in Pasco says workers have been out until 2 AM fixing your appliances. Many people turned on their system for the first time and found it didn't work. Campbell and Company has some tricks to help prevent this.

"It's just like putting ice in a cooler, if it's 100 degrees outside, you need more ice in your cooler. Just making sure the outdoor unit is clean and that it is sprayed down, making sure there's no leaves, weeds, or if you live in an area with a lot of cottonwood...cottonwood loves outdoor units, and it will just act more like a magnet, and stick to the outdoor coil," said store worker, Brian Campbell.

We also checked in with Wal-Mart and Ace Hardware about their fans and single AC unit sales. Wal-Mart is running low on both. Ace Hardware has a good stock.
