Carnival for the Troops starts in Kennewick

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The carnival is back in town and will last for ten days. It's set up in the Hobby Lobby parking lot on Canal Drive.

It's called the Carnival for Troops because a portion of the proceeds go to supporting the nonprofit Guardians of Freedom Project. The charity tells us they get a portion of ticket sales only, which has amounted to roughly $1,000 to $2,000 each year.

Donations are also accepted on-site, and T-shirts are sold to help wounded warriors.

Each ride costs $3.75, or you can ride all day for $25. There is a discount for military members.
