Early birds clean up Kamiakin

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Some students came back to school Friday, even though classes don't start for two weeks.

Dozens of kids from Kamiakin High School's ASB Leadership stormed through campus to clean it up. This week's storms blew trash and debris all over campus.

Students say they want the incoming freshmen to walk into a welcoming environment.

"Our school just has so much spirit together. We're just like one big family, so we decided to clean up the school because we had that tragic little storm," says Sophomore Makenzie Monson.

Students filled dozens of trash bags.
