      Michael Johnson set for trial

BENTON COUNTY, Wash. -- The Kennewick man accused of killing a woman with his car was in court today. Michael Johnson was charged with vehicular homicide.

He's also set for trial in November. Police say Johnson was going 72 in a 40 when he struck Nina Howard.

The 52-year old woman was not using a crosswalk at the time she was struck. But police say, if Johnson was going the speed limit, Howard would have had time to move out of the way.
