"Miracle" thanks you

BENTON CITY, Wash. -- KEPR is continuing to follow the story of the abused and starved horse who was dumped on the side of the road in Benton City. Last night, we told you about the progress "Miracle" has made in the past three months. And you opened your hearts and wallets to help.

Miracle has gained almost 300 pounds, but she still needs to gain 500 more to be healthy. She also has an injured hip. Her rescuers can't afford that on top of the rest of the care.

Since our story, Kay Zirkel was flooded with support. An equine chiropractor even offered to work on the horse for free. Another couple has offered to take care of the x-ray cost and transportation to Pullman.

Your generosity speaks volumes. If you'd like to help Miracle, contact Kay by phone at (509) 366-0068 or by email at
