It's called the Wrangler Champions Challenge. The rodeo event is different than other rodeos because it involves teams. Ten competitors are world champions from this year and last. The director of the fair is excited for Kennewick to receive national attention.
"We're really excited to have our venue on national TV. We worked really hard the last several years. Lots of people in the community have commented on how much work we've done to the Rodeo arena and so we're excited to kind of show it off and have people understand where Kennewick is and that we have one of the best Rodeo's in the country," said Executive Director, Lori Lancaster.
The rodeo challenge is the first day of the fair, Tuesday the 19th. Tickets start at ten bucks, on top of fair admission.
