People nationwide donating to Pasco family who lost wife, mom
PASCO, Wash. -- KEPR is continuing to follow the heartbreaking story of a Pasco mom who passed away right after giving birth.
Ana Gutierrez-Ramirez was just 37 years old. She left behind her husband and five children.
The story touched so many of you. Donations keep pouring in for a campaign set up by a Finley teen who is a friend of the family. Since our story aired, almost $22,000 has been donated.
People from all over the country have contacted KEPR to donate diapers, clothes, toys, and even free haircuts.
Ana's funeral is Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Pasco.
There's still time to donate. You can contribute to the online fund here.
There's also a bank account set up at Wells Fargo Bank on Kellogg Street in Kennewick. You can stop in anytime to donate.
If you want to bring items in to donate or mail things in, you can bring them to our news station and we will get the donations to the family.
Our address is 2807 W. Lewis St., Pasco, WA, 99301.
