Road 68 project begins on Burden

PASCO, Wash. -- Pasco's Road 68 improvement project has started and drivers are already feeling the pain.

The city began saw cutting and demolition Friday afternoon on Burden Boulevard.

Phase one will add left turn pockets and lengthen the existing pockets on the street. Inside lanes will be closed periodically throughout next week.

Drivers we spoke with are upset.

"I mean, it's just going to be stressful and it probably might even effect businesses. You know, I moved away from this area just because of the traffic," says drivers Danielle Dunigan.

New streetlights will also go in on burden. They're installing the wiring next week.

Work on Road 68 will begin in a few weeks.
