Tri-Cities Prep looking to return to championship glory

PASCO, Wash. - Three years removed from making the move from 8-man to 11-man, Tri-Cities Prep are still looking for the recipe that made them state champs back in 2009.

Head coach Dan Whitsett says another title may not be far away, calling this years group the most experienced group he has ever had. The Jaguars are returning seven seniors on this years roster and they will need them, as Whitsett says he has purposely scheduled tougher opponents for 2014.

Starting with the top ranked 2B squad in Oregon, Hepner, they will play at Kennison Field in Hermiston Friday, the same school coach Whitsett graduated from 25 years ago.

"I get to go to my home, my home school, my hometown, where I grew up playing football and I wish I could put my passion into my boys, and I think they're feeling it a little bit just from my stories, but we're really looking forward to it," said Tri-Cities Prep coach, Dan Whitsett.
