SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) - The bad news is that April sees quite a few classic titles leaving Netflix. The good news is that the majority of them aren't leaving until April 30. So, should you find yourself indoors for the next couple of weeks, here are a few titles you could spend your downtime with.

National Treasure

Nicholas Cage stars as Benjamin Franklin Gates, a historian with an adventurous soul, who sets out to find the treasures of the Templar. It's Indiana Jones as written by Dan Brown (but better than that mashup suggests).  (Leaving 4/29/20)

A Little Princess

I was introduced to director Alfonso Cuarón via his 1995 adaptation of "A Little Princess."  Written by Frances Hodgson Burnett, "A Little Princess" tells the story of Sara, a privileged young girl, who is sent to a boarding school while her father is stationed with the British Army in India. When word of her father's death reaches her headmistress, Miss Minchin, Sara's fortunes turn for the worst. It's simply a beautiful film.

Blade Runner: The Final Cut

I'm often asked to name my favorite movie. I tend to say "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back," but a solid case could be made for a different Harrison Ford film: "Blade Runner." Few movies have captured my curiosity in the way that Ridley Scott's film has. Caught somewhere between a detective noir and a full-blown science fiction epic, "Blade Runner" is one of the most beautiful cinematic experiences I've ever had and the echos of its influence are felt decades later. It's not an action film, and that may leave some of you disappointed, but it is smart, stylish and utterly unforgettable.

The Craft

"The Craft" is a movie about teenage witches at a Catholic high school with a dark sense of humor and the camp meter turned all the way up to 11.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

I love Chinese wuxia films, sweeping historical dramas packed with martial-arts action and heroic outsiders. "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" is one of the genre's most celebrated movies (deserving so) as it tells the story of a stolen magical sword and star-crossed romance.

The Dirty Dozen

Based on a trues story, 1967's "The Dirty Dozen" sees a group of army prisoners sent on a suicide mission to take out a group of high-ranking Nazis in Northern France prior to the Allied invasion. The film features an amazing ensemble cast that includes Ernest Borgnine, Charles Bronson, Jim Brown, John Cassavetes, Robert Ryan, Telly Savalas, Robert Webber and Donald Sutherland.

Goodfellas

Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci star in Martin Scorsese's "Goodfellas," a film about Henry Hill, a gangster who grew up idolizing the local mobsters of  his Italian-American neighborhood in Brooklyn. It's arguably the best gangster films ever made.
