TRI-CITIES, Wash. -- The Benton-Franklin Health District announced only 13 new cases of coronavirus in the Tri-Cities on Tuesday, September 15. Officials say they received information that three additional residents have passed due to COVID-19.
In Benton County, there were nine new cases of coronavirus. This brings the total to 4,347. A Benton County man in his 70s with underlying health conditions has recently died from the virus. This brings the total number of deaths in Benton County to 114.
In Franklin County, there were only four new cases of COVID-19. This brings the total to 4,135. A man and woman, each in the 80s with underlying health conditions have passed. This brings the total number of deaths due to coronavirus to 49 in Franklin County.
There are currently 23 people in local hospitals being treated for COVID-19.
